Tuffy's Red Mountain Run
July, 1999
Fresno, Ca.
Drew
Persson marketed some IFS sway bar dis-connects. I bought a set and put them on Tuffy to gain a bit of articulation.
He invited his customers out for a run, up
to the mountains east of Fresno. Fantastic scenery, good air, and pristine
lakes. And some pretty good wheeling too.
Tim
from DOA was there. First time I saw a bobbed bed.
Tim told me how it was done,
and I utilized that info to bob Tuffy II's bed.

Poser.
Marlin
run's tailgunner.
Here
Marlin just finished welding up a Jeep driveshaft.
The
guy wanted to know if he could pay Marlin for his trouble. Marlin told him to
buy a T-shirt. Then his buddies pitched in and bought all the
Marlin Crawler T-shirts.
Sold 'em all to Jeepers!
Out
on the trail, Marlin lets somebody experience the control of double low gearing.
This
guy didn't have the lift that the other rigs had, but by picking a different
line he was able to go everywhere anybody else went.
Knockout
scenery.

I'm
not the only one with an IFS rig out there!

Barney,
from Barney's Threads.
Heading
to the lake.
This
is the best axle droop gets on an IFS.
NO articulation. Sway-a-Way front torsion bars and Downey rear springs.
Every
body found a spot to pose.
Tempting
fate!
Oh,
that's how it's done!
More scenery...

Nice
Flatbed!
Roger
Brown was there.

Unparalleled
scenery is accessible with four wheel drive.
I
used to remember all their names. Roger Brown, Tim, Brian Cox, Drew and his
brother, also Randy and I are in there. Sorry I don't remember the other guys
names. I wonder if they are all still wheeling?
