                                    All Pro Jamboree

                                  Johnson Valley, California

                                        January 13, 2007

Another run to Johnson Valley. This time to take part in the gathering of the faithful Toyota owners. Jon Bundrant from All Pro hosted the All Pro Jamboree.

We got there Friday afternoon and went out to fool around on Tackhammer and the entrance to Sledgehammer.

Hootman's carnage. He ripped off the stock mud flap backing up. When he got back to camp, he took the other three off. Low dollar trail mod.

About 120 people signed up for a weekend of wheeling. You were one hearty individual if you stayed in a tent. Saturday morning it was 5 degrees outside.

Here are just a few rigs that showed up.

Even a few Jeeps showed up.

This shows some of the line up. Far left Jon heads up the run to Fisher Mountain in his FJ.

They came as far away as Alaska.

I signed up for Wrecking Ball. I hadn't done that trail yet, and was looking forward to it.

Our trail boss Mike, leads the way in his F-Toy.

I was running behind Mike.

Ben drove his Runner out from Vegas.

Josh made it out.

Teag came out to play. He welded up the rear the night before.

Travis had a well prepared rig.

At one point Josh got hung up on a rock in the middle of the road.

He can't go forward or back. So he jacked it up to clear, and drove off the jack.

Right here, Travis snapped a Longfield.

It broke off right at the bell. I think it was a 27 spline. Travis said it was probably stressed when the other side broke a while back. He had trouble pulling the axle out with nothing to pull on, so he welded the outer shaft back on and pulled the axle out.

Laying on of hands kept Teag moving.

Mike's walking back to check on the rest of the rigs.

After Mike drove up the last waterfall, he got jammed in at the v-notch and snapped a rear output shaft.

Dennis got these great shots of me walking up the last waterfall....

At the top, I pulled Ben up. Then tried to straddle the notch....

but the right rear fell in a big hole.

When Ben went thru the V-notch, his steering box pulled loose.

Travis used Josh's C-clamp to secure the steering box to the frame, to get him out of the way so we could get the others through.

Ben was well prepared and had everything he needed to fix it and drive out.

Travis goes for the cover shot at the notch.

Teag and Josh follow. Here Teag gets ready to strap Josh up.

Josh flying low back to camp.

We all made it back to camp safely. Jon fixed some burgers and later they held a raffle. It was colder than I ever thought it could be, but it was still a good time. Good wheeling, good people. Another successful outing.
